Supporting Business Partners with delivery of key HR strategy, initiatives and topics in order to grow and develop the business population. Producing materials, helping partners with adhoc queries and collaborating with other HR functions to deliver Talent offerings and performance reviews for the employees through the HR system.
Some of the skills I’ve developed were communication, PowerPoint, excel and PDF. In particular, producing materials per business requirements and being able to tailor the approach depending on the needs of the client. There is also an online learning platform where you can choose from a wide array of courses what you would like to learn.
The program is varied depending on which area and team you join. Personally I have really enjoyed my programme as my team have been very involved in my exposure and development and I have been able to get stuck in as soon as I joined. The programme has a flexible learning approach which you can choose.
Although the programme wasn’t fully structured, this did mean that I was able to choose and have the flexibility to change some of the aspects depending on my interest and needs. There is an overall structure but as I got to decide on the little details, I felt valued as an apprentice.
I’ve always been supported when I need it and appreciate that I am also given the independence to do things as well. I know that if I ever needed help, who I could reach out to and I know that they would be more than willing to help out.
The training provider gives mixed support depending on who you have. Overall I found that I am not always supported by my allocated tutor but that I can escalate when needed so I am able to eventually get the support that I need. Response time can also be quite long.
I haven’t found my qualification having a huge impact on my day to day job yet but this could be due to the current team that I am working in. The knowledge in the qualification is quite basic so it hasn’t really affected my role from my perspective
There are lots of networking events and social networks that you can get involved in. You can get involved in from a planning and organising perspective as well as from participating in events. There are also a lot of engaging activities within each team/area so lots to get involved in
