I work as a Corporate Trust apprentice and I am usually based in the client services side - this involves me working alongside Housing associations, Solicitors and Funders - we ultimately service the deals that we have and perform requests, reports and other services.
Yes I have developed my IT skills whilst in my role - definitely within Excel and also learning about how to use our own internal systems and respond to client queries
Very much so, I receive great support from my colleagues whilst learning
it is good I know how to manage my workload and the apprenticeship provider is clear on what is due and when
A lot, ever since I have started we have been told who is there for us and we have many people there to support us, the apprentice scheme manager, our team and manager, the apprenticeship provider etc
Yes if we have any questions they respond very quickly and are happy to run through anything that is not clear
Yes, in some aspects you can see the overlap in the skills I have developed and what is required in my apprenticeship submissions
Yes, within my team since the COVID-19 outbreak and remote working, myself and my team have a weekly workout which is great to keep in contact with everyone and breaks up the day a bit from usual routine - there are also internal platforms where you can explore other activities
Yes
I enjoy my job, I like coming to work, the support is great and have enjoyed my time here.
Always be the best version of yourself, put yourself out there on Assessment centre days but do not take over - listen to what others have to say and put in maximum effort. Demonstrate that you have the qualities they are looking for in a future employee.
