Software Developer Review

I am apart of the development team in which i am new to the team. I am currently learning different development work including integration and RPA. With the hopes of joining my first project.

Yes, I have learned how the HDC works and how important the use of a team environment is. Communications and problem solving is vital.

I enjoy the at work experience as it gives a real sense of the IT industry. University is quite outdated and work never relates to anything we would see in a modern industry thats always developing.

In work, very well. My director always checks in to see how we are doing or if we have any problems. The university is terrible. Lecturers arent getting assigned to classed until 4 weeks in, we are only in 1 day a week- effecting learning a lot!

Great support, both other employees and other apprentices are always very keen to help me if i have a problem or query. My director is always checking to make sure we are getting on okay- its a nice environment to work in.

Pretty well, sometimes you can get caught between working and studying which usually leaves you late in work with uni work to do. Its all about balance but its always been made clear if im struggling i just need to speak up.

I haven't felt like the qualification has helped me with work thus far. Industry is moving much faster than university which makes the course material quite out dated.

yes, we have a health and social club. This is where people sign up and we meet circa every month. Doing different weird but fun activities that people find fun or interesting. Definitely has a good turn out and everyone enjoys them.

It is a very good employer. So many benefits especially as an apprentice to learn in industry. I have a long way to go but so far this experience has out done my expectations and I'm very lucky to be with such a great company.

Be confident in your ability to learn from others. Working in industry can feel overwhelming at first but everyone will make you feel very welcomed. Its a great environment to work in and everyone has the same goals to succeed.
