My role is to assist the project managers at my company with their day to day work and in the process or valuations and variations to works. I also am involved in the rendering of some projects as well.
I have learnt a wide range of new skills and develop others for example my confidence has grown and my communications skills have developed. I have learnt how to put together variations and costing for projects as well as other skills.
I enjoy the program a lot as I am learning what goes into constructing a building not just the materials and the work but the designing of it too.
The programme is structured well and runs in an order which is logical allowing me to get the most information I can and apply it accurately
I receive a good amount of support from my employer as they check regularly with how I’m progressing.
I am at university every week and the lectures are always on hand via email to answer any questions I have and are more than willing to help
At this moment in time there have been few instances where my qualification has helped as I work for an M&E company so it’s not specific enough to apply in my role currently. However, it has helped me understand things such as drawings and scaling as well as ethical and H&S rules and where they are applied.
Yes
They are a smaller company which means there is more care in how you are getting on and makes it more personal in that way.
Always be willing to learn and try your best in every scenario
