  • 1. Please give an overview of what your work experience involved:
  • We first started of with completing a qualification in team leadership. We also did a dragon den where we made an app relating to health. Furthermore, we spent a week meeting employees of EY from different departments were they showed us what their job entailed.

  • 2. What training and skills development did you learn from your work experience?
  • I developed my confidence as I had to speak in front of people in an environment I’m not use to. Also, doing presentations in such short notice which allowed me to be better at organising time.

  • What I enjoyed was meeting people from different departments that had different jobs. This was interesting as I learnt something new every time.

  • I think it was very organised and because of the friendly and approachable staff I could ask if I didn’t know what to do or if I was confused.

  • 5. How much did you learn about the company culture and what it would be like to work there?
  • I learnt a lot about the company culture because I got to speak to different levels of employees. Therefore, I was able to understand what the company culture was like as a whole. I really liked the environment as people seemed to enjoy their job.

  • It helped me a lot in deciding on my future career path as there is a lot of different types of careers out there that I had no idea about before.

  • Yes there was many many opportunities for networking and meeting employees. On the second week I spent lots of it meeting new people.

  • Yes I would and I have because it gave me the opportunity to see how a professional environment is like first hand. I know a lot more about my future career path.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • To be prepared for the phone interview but don’t over prepare that you sound robotic.
