  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I look after material accounts where I have to go through invoices and query them if needed or process them into our system. at the end of the month I do supplier reconciliations where I go through each account and check what is being paid and what is not going to be paid and then look into it further if we are missing any invoices etc

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have had great communication skills all the time but working for costain in a friendly and loving environment has made me further develop this skillset. I also have learned new things regarding my job as how to process an invoice or how to adapt in situations where team members are off and you have to cover them so it comes with a lot of responsibility and I have adapted.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • it is very well and I think the help I get is amazing. everyone is always willing to help and listen when I am struggling with something. I get 20 percent off my working world so I can study. Also I can say that I can ask for anything and my team always try to improvise.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I do get a lot of support but sometimes it is difficult for my assessor as I have had so many in the last two years and they always seem to leave! it is going well now and my current assessor is here to tidy things up with my studying and qualification.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I do believes it helps a lot but I also believe studying and working is two different things. studying help understand a role better but I am such a hands on quick learner that a job can be taught to me. I believe I am great at my job and I have not finished my studying yet.
