  • I currently do a site engineer role. Looking after site activities and the site team. Currently write RAMS and other important construction documents.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have better communication skills now than before starting my job. I have also been able to learn a number of technical parts about construction and engineering than I knew beforehand.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme. I like being able to learn whilst working. I also enjoy being able to work with a variety of different from different backgrounds and learning from them.

  • Some aspects of the programme are structured, however some parts need some working on.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • When asked I receive support all the time. There is always someone within the apprenticeship team that is able to answers questions quickly and whenever you need an answer.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • On some aspects they are supportive. However, they are sometimes too slow in providing information and assistance when it is needed.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe it helps me a lot as it provides me with information that allows me to do my job better.

  • Yes, my work have lots of networking and social events throughout the year which help with team chemistry and getting to know new people.

  • They are a good employer with a large amount of opportunities which you can peruse. People are interested in to listening to your experience and helping you can better knowledge of certain things.
