  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • There are many different teams within Accenture doing different things. I chose to work in service management. I Provide operational service management support for multiple clients as part of Newcastle's Shared Service Service Management function. I then go to College on a Friday where i study towards my software engineering degree. I also get involved with Accenture's community on a day to day where i help organizing events and taking part in charity fundraising around the ATC.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills as before this apprenticeship i came from a non technical background so had very little knowledge of IT. I have picked up many new skills including Networking and programming and i'm constantly learning new things each day.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I extremely enjoy Accenture's programme it has a very friendly community and everyone is always happy to help.

  • It is well structured as i always know what i need to do and where my career is heading.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support of my employer this is one of the things i love about Accenture. There is always people there to talk to and ask if you are unsure.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive a lot of support form our training provider as we study our degree at a college so the class is quite small which means we get help when we need it.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I learn many skills in my qualification which have helped me at work such as Agile which is used within my team and a unit of my degree. A lot of the things we do in college overlaps with my everyday work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are numerous activities to get involved in within work that arrange charity events and fundraising as my managers are always happy and encourage me to get involved.

  • Yes

  • Accenture has a great apprenticeship programme which pays for your degree and has a excellent community which offers you many benefits.

  • I would encourage people to be themselves and enthusiastic when applying for accenture.
