  • Yes how to perform analytical and preparative chromatography how to analyse 1D and 2D NMR spectra troubleshoot instruments problem solving soft skills such as teamwork, organisation and communication also improved

  • the university work is interesting although not always applicable to my work directly

  • University course is very well organised and broken down into modules. Programme has allowed me to learn different analytical techniques although the plan set in the beginning has changed significantly over time.

  • Some modules are directly applicable to my work and it is very useful to know the theory behind the work. Some modules are interesting for general chemistry knowledge. Some modules are not applicable and are dull.

  • Yes

  • Excellent opportunity to gain hands on experience which will set you apart from other candidates when applying for future jobs. Can gain a degree without any debt.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AstraZeneca?
  • The more effort you put in the more you get out of the apprenticeship. Ask lots of questions.
