QC systems support offcer Review

I work on the Qc systems in the QA department. I work on requests by fixing/making methods which the analysts follow or fixing/adding instruments so that the analyst can capture the information electronically. I'm also working on a new electronic laboratory system which is being implemented in the near future.

I have learnt new skills in coding and parsing, I have developed my presenting skills and developed my communication skills. The company has also provided workshops so that we can develop skills in different areas for example what type of learner you are and how to take advantage of that knowledge and presentation workshops.

A lot as it has given me the experience of working in a team, making new friends, finding out how the pharmaceutical industry works and working in skills development workshops. The programme takes on people and supports them on their journey throgh the new work life and balancing that life with uni.

I think my programme does provides a well spaced out and structured plan to allow me to balance my work and my study without them clashing which allows me to feel very comfortable during my apprenticeship. The programme offers lots of events to help me, as an apprentice, better myself.

I have lots of support from my manager and have a catch up every 3 weeks where she checks to see where I'm up to, how I'm feeling and how am I finding my work. My mentor is always available to help and is fully equipped with the knowledge to help me in any situation I'm stuck in.

i have a monthly catch up with an advisor from the training provider where I can ask questions get help if I'm struggling to do my work. I am also able to contact my tutor via emails and occasionally Ms teams chats for any questions or extra help with topics i struggle on.

It allows me to better understand the theory behind what happens in my workplace and how different processes function to allow a desired product. Although as the qualification applies to many other students, there isn't an exact link between my role at the workplace and the qualification I'm working towards.

My team does social events every now and again to have a good laugh and chill out. There are also some sports events that take place in the on site sports facilities. There is also volunteer work to apply for and department catch ups for people to see what is happening around us.

Everyone is friendly and everyone offers help whenever its needed and I always feel comfortable and exited to go to work. AstraZeneca is a great company to work for and so I would definitely recommend it to a friend.

the interview process was very chill and fun to do and the direct interviews was a uniqe process where a lot of the pressure was lifted. I would tell others to stay calm and be yourself during the interview and when applying try your hardest to impress as the job is definitely worth it.
