To maintain electrical equipment/supply around the area
2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I didn’t know what to do after school, I joined AWE electrical apprenticeship and now I can’t get enough of it. It’s a brilliant job and once your in, it’s a life time career, it’s not just a job, it’s a career
3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
To what extent? From 1-10 I’d give it a solid 11

It’s the most organised organisation I know
5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
I get as much support as I need as I can, whenever I’m stuck I know who to go to
6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
As said in question 5, unstoppable support, your trainer would be happy to spend the time needed for you to understand things which you dont
7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
Well as said before, it’s a career. So when you qualify there plenty of jobs around the area
8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
Plenty, were not all about work work work, AWE do research in to many things, cancer etc.
9a. Would you recommend AWE to a friend?
Yes
9b. Why?
Because it’s such a hands on career, every day is different
10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to AWE?
Do it! Don’t hold yourself back! Whether you don’t know where to go in life at the moment, I suggest do it!
