  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role at the moment involves supporting the other account managers by creating documents such as an evidence of cover and an addendum to the client. This involves me dealing with contracts and using the Aon Grids system to produce documents that the client require to help them understand the cover they have got.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt many new skills since joining Aon. My technical skills have imprvoed as i am using the computer on a regular basis. Also, the email writing skills have improved as i send multiple emails a day. Finally, my people skills have improved through dealing with many different people.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this programme as it has given me the oppertunity to experience many new things and environments. It has allowed me to meet lots of new people and broadend my knowledge and both the insurance world and general life skills. It has been a very enjoyable start to worklife.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well organised as I have had constant support from the day I got the job. I have always been given lots of information to help me to understand what is to come. I have always been offered more oppertunities to continue my development and to learn new skills.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have recieved lots of support from my supplier from day one. They gave me an information pack of what to expect and how the first few days of my employment would go which helped ease both the pressure and nerves. I have also had constant support from my manager and team members.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I recieve support from my apprentice coach who has monthly meetings with me. In these meetings he offers me support and tells me things to do in order to progress and move towards the completion of my appreticeship. I do not get that much support with the actual exam knowledge.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • my qualification helps me perform better as it gives me a greater understanding of the insurance world and insurance market. This means that i have a greater understanding of each tasks i have to do and allows me to perform my job at a higher standard. It makes the job easier.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are some extra curricluar activites to get involved in at Aon. There are often curry nights for teams when they ave perfromed well during a busy period. Also, there are lots of events for young people to attend to help them build networks and listen to talks from experienced people

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend Aon as it is a great place to develop your career at. You recieve lots of oppertunites for growth and will make many new relationships on the way. It's a company that support you and wants you to grow as much as possible to help you suceed


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Aon?
  • I would tell people to research general stuff about Aon ad Insurance. I would tell them to practice the general questions that are asked in interviews and to have rough answered prepared for all of them. I would tell them not to stress about anthing and believe in there own ability.
