  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I serve customers on a day to day basis to find their perfect holiday, I also serve customers with foreign exchange either buying or selling different currency’s. Whilst with my day to day role doing this I also have apprenticeship course work which needs to be completed where possible.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Everything I have learnt within this role is new as I started from scratch with no previous experience so I have learn lots of new skills in different areas of travel. I have also developed my customer service dealing with different customers on a day to day basis.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my programme as it is broken up into different topics and challenges which allows me to learn more and take in the information.

  • I think my programme is well structured and most days/times are set to complete part of my programme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from calls and emails and visits to make sure I am happy and that I am up to date and understand the work. If I do not understand it they are there to help,

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support where they help me stay on track and stay focused to achiever a finish date which is realistic but also shorter than the 2 year period.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It allows me to learn from different aspects and learn different scenarios and topics to know how to deal with something in a certain way to ensure everyone is happy.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a couple such as themed days such as charity days and Disney days for instore.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a great company which looks after it’s employees and makes sure everything is fair and they try and help their employees as best as possible to balance a home life and work life.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • Be confident! This company is about being confident towards team members and to customers. It also being friendly to both as well as you more certain than not interacting with customers in some sort of way! So customer friendly is a biggie!
