Vauxhall allow their Commercial Apprentices to rotate departments annually. So far I have been in Fleet Marketing, HR and have recently moved to Communications. I have outlined a few of the responsibilities I've had in each role below. Fleet Marketing: Working with the creative agency to create bespoke PDF's, E-bulletins and more, reporting on the effectiveness of Fleet Communications, Managing an Internal databas for the Fleet Field Team. HR: Managing the Work Experience programme for our central Vauxhall site, Administration of our Leadership and Management Development Programme, Organisation and preparation of other training. Communications: Assist in organising Internal Events and Communications including a desktop gadget and TV screens at the central site.

4. How valued do you feel by PSA Group?

9/10

So far in each role I have been given far more responsibility than I expected which has helped my personal development. I have enjoyed the work I have been given in each role I have been in so far and all the teams I have worked with are extremely supportive and approachable, meaning if you are stuck, there is always someone around to help. The best part of the programme is the rotations, so we get to experience different areas of the business and we are treated like valuable employees in each area.

We currently get a competitive salary in comparison to the apprentice minimum wage and other apprenticeships in the area.

The company organises internal events such as quizzes etc as well as charity events. Sports clubs are organised by apprentices/undergrads for those who want to get involved. Individual departments also organise meals and events outside of work. Apprentices frequently meet up outside of work for meals, cinema or just going round each other's houses!
