  • Sales and marketing analysis, creating daily, weekly and monthly analysis tools, as well has adhoc. Also cover the marketing function of the sales team, in control of the website (adding news articles, any changes etc), social media posts and any paid advertising, such as Google Ads, exhibitions, social media ads etc.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Have become an advanced user of excel, being able to use advanced formulas and create data warehouses. Forecast update. Have become proficient in creating and updating sales forecasts. Social media marketing. Can create business posts on social media. Presentations. Can give high impact presentations to relevant stakeholders. Time management skills

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Programme is enjoyable. This is because it has relevant information to my job role and the teaching methods are very relatable, and I can gain a lot of insight from the knowledge given from the lecturers. The uni is high class and the facilities are second to none. Overall it's great!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Programme is well structured. There was a hiccup with the time table being changed a few times to adapt to people living 4 hours+ away, but it was swiftly resolved. The 2 days a month method works as it gets people involved with each other, and they can draw on each others experiences.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive of my studies. They give me adequate time to focus on each subject and enough time to complete the assignments. My manager helps by reading over my assignments before I send them for marking to see if there any spelling and grammatical errors, to sharpen it up.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider are very helpful. They have put on extra classes to help people with different problem areas, such as essay writing, referencing and using their online tools. In the lectures, the staff are all too helpful to answer any questions that arise from people who may not understand the subject.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification helps me understand the logic behind marketing, and how to properly use it within a B2B environment. The theory behind each subject helps me implement the task correctly and tailor it to my business. By being able to share my experience with fellow students, I can express my interests and problems with them.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • My company pay for different career enhancing courses, such as Dale Carnegie Winning friends and influencing people and Dale Carnegie High impact presentation courses. There are also chances to go on first aid courses if you wish to become a first aider. There are also internal training sessions for people.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • The people are great to work with. There is a real teamwork ethic, and a no blame culture. You can be accountable for the good things you have done, and be recognised with an employee rewards scheme. The management team and forthcoming and involve people with every decision made in the business.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Luxfer MEL Technologies?
  • Be honest and truthful with your skills, be proud of what you can do and be knowledgeable in what you need to improve on so the company can help you achieve your goals. Understanding the culture is a big must when joining luxfer mel Technologies as it allows you to integrate right in.
