  • auditing businesses in the UK, as an trainee associate working with more senior staff and managers in a team to complete EGAs based on determining whether financial statements are misstated and whether there is a likelihood that they are potentially going to misslead shareholders, building trust in the business world.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • my confidence which was improved from talking to the client has increased, as well as IT skills on microsoft exc e l, and my accounting knowledge. This will help me when I return to uni to complete my degree which is called business accounting and finance at new castle university.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The work can be very satisfying to complete as it is often quite straightforward and prior year files can be copied over to the current year. Also, the teams have been very friendly for the most part which improved my experience greatly. There is no toxic culture of working as late as possible as I had feared.

  • The induction was well organised and took place at a corporate room in a hotel. The training was slightly limited but there is a culture of learning on the job which is quite efficient. Support is great and I feel like there is always someone I can contact if I have any problems
