  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The graduate scheme is very structured as per the job description and on a three month basis, I set new targets with my senior QS with my course leader to discuss my progression and where I need to really improve. The scheme is very fast paced but it really builds your character and you learn to adapt to the environment.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • To be honest, I receive quite a lot of support from Engie. When I started I didn't even have a drivers licence but once I passed, they were able to give me a company car to make it easier for me to travel to the office and on site. The directors are also welcoming and other employees. You can always have a chat with them if you either need help or obtaining advice.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I am currently undertaking the CMI Level 3 leadership programme. The programme is structured and we are assigned to a coach which we can contact during working hours or out of office hours regarding any queries. We also have the opportunity to go on trips, which is nice as sometimes its best to go out there and take a break from work.

  • The course itself and my coach have helped me to better understand how to communicate and use my leadership skills effectively. We are also given networking events by the marketing team which are optional and when you do have time, can attend to those.

  • Just apply and go for it. Ive applied to over 50 construction firms and got no response. However, Engie's recruitment was so simple and fast and I am forever grateful to them, choosing me to start my career here. When getting through the stages, just ensure you be yourself and have that enthusiasm for the role you are applying.
