  • Order book management, Procuring new goods, Maintaining delivery, liaising with suppliers on a daily basis to ensure the continuation of OB (order book)

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Many, my Excel skills have significantly improved I am now able to deal with large amounts of date on a multitude of platforms exporting data from a online, live data bank. liaising with other team members to ensure the Repairs, goods and services are hitting their OTIF, in turn my communication skills have improved to a processional standard.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning and having a new challenge every day, the different placements allow me to build a well rounded view of the business aiding me in my decision post apprenticeship to ensure I find the right role. I have enjoyed my apprenticeship greatly so far!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very, we are set clear objectives and have a clear structure to placements and where we are working. and we have clear lines of communication to the college and work as well.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A great amount, but as it is an professional environment it is upon you to ask to say 'i'm struggling' and everyone is more that willing to help.

  • A good amount that allows us to perform in each placement.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • because it contextualises a lot of the different types of contract I deal on in a day to day basis, it gives you the grass route knowledge to understand the structure of each placement

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many groups available, unfortunately I live 40 miles away from Bristol so take up sport and activities in my free time at home

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is the most inclusive business I have worked for. The support and like minded colleagues I have met is fantastic and the job is incredibly rewarding.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babcock?
  • Knuckle down work hard and ask as many questions as you can!
