1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role is split into two areas. Half of my time is spent in audit, performing fiscal year end audits for EY's clients. The other half is in the data analytics team, supplying analysers to EY's audit team

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed analytical skills and computer skills. I have learnt a great deal about finance and accounting and the corporate world and working environment.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy my programme as it has exposed me to enough work and academic studies, a good balance and has also been a really enjoyable experience where I have met many very interesting sociable and helpful people.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is very well structured, however as it is a new programme communication could have been clearer and earlier, this is understandable as it is new to the providers as well as us.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support in great amounts both in terms of coaching and my wellbeing. It is very clear that EY cares about its employees and there advancement.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We have bi-monthly workshops and they are open at all times for any questions we may have. weekly webex sessions are also very key.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

the work I am doing with my employer directly relates to the academic work I have been doing with QA (my provider) and helps me better understand my day to day role

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

EY has a very social culture and there are many things to get involved in. If there isn't there is also an avenue to get things started.

9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?

Yes

9b. Why?

It is a very inclusive atmosphere, I have always felt welcome, the work has been challenging but not impossible, the coaching and training has been supportive and very enjoyable.

be honest ask as many questions as possible get involved as much as you can
