  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Some of the modules have been useful on the job, however, most of the content has to be taken out of context and reapplied to be genuinely useful in a working environment. The modules were more about "ticking a box" than they were applicable for day to day working life.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, social, sport, charitable. L'Oreal offers lots of options. I was quite shy and struggled in busy social situations but managed to make it work for me.

  • 9a. Would you recommend L'Oreal to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • With the right attitude and mindset, you can make something really positive happen with a placement at L'Oreal. The autonomy required to do this can be scary, but it is this that helps you to push through and develop.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to L'Oreal?
  • Give it everything, don't hold back. But take time to learn and understand your surroundings, the business culture, how people work. Set yourself time to develop and then strive to take everything you can from the placement. You're wasting your time otherwise.
