  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I currently work in a service administrator role, my main jobs include: Taking calls from customers and clients, dealing with engineers admin tasks, working with contracts and invoicing, while arranging meetings and installations/moves. We take any queries from customers over the phone and via email. Also sorting out deliveries is something that I deal with, as there are 3 of us in the service department, we split extra responsibilities between the 3 of us.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained multiple skills and developed skills I already had whilst working in this job role. Coming from working in retail to an office based administrative role, there were a lot of new skills to be developed. Since starting here, I have gained lots of knowledge on the business itself, I have also gained a lot of knowledge on the products and equipment that we sell. Along side normal day to day jobs, doing this apprenticeship has given me lots of new skills which I can use daily in work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoy my programme. I feel as though because I am gaining more skills and knowledge in work and in this apprenticeship, it is helping me to feel more confident in my work. This is helping me to enjoy my days in work a lot more, as I feel more comfortable to answer questions to other colleagues and more secure in the work I produce.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme has been organised amazingly by my trainer. She has split the work out evenly over the past few months and it has been balanced throughout. At no point have I felt that I have been over/under worked. I am thoroughly happy with the outcome of this apprenticeship and my trainer has been incredible.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my employer, whenever anything is needed I can go straight to her and receive the support I need. Even if she is not available in the office, I can always phone or leave a message/email and she will get back to me. This support is greatly appreciated.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support from my trainer is 10/10, as stated above, she has managed to organise my time perfectly. The way work has been allocated to me, it has enabled me to not be over worked at any point, but has always made sure I have had something to work on over the past few months, working towards my end point.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that this qualification will massively help me to perform better in my job role and any others in this field. Business is something that can be used throughout many roles, but especially the one I am currently in. It helps me to be more professional, while gaining more skills on the blinder areas such as finance and stakeholders etc.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No, there are none of the above at my work place. I feel like this is something we need to introduce, as work activities help to build morale in the workplace. It also helps colleagues to bond more and learn more about each other. Sometimes work can be so stressful and you don't get to know much about the people you spend 5/7 days a week with.

  • 9a. Would you recommend SUZOHAPP to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I would recommend this company to a friend, as there are a variety of roles you can go into within Suzohapp. From service engineer to a sales rep, you can work in multiple roles and also move around and try new roles if wanted. I think the variety makes it appealing to work here and they are always striving for you to further yourself and reach your goals.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SUZOHAPP?
  • I would advise others when applying to this company that it can be a very relaxed environment and it can also be very fast paced. One minute you may feel on top of all your work and the next minute you can be swamped under with queries and customers and any external factors.
