  • I am working in Body in White Structures on the technologies and developments to design components, delivering vehicles.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes! I have learned about the process of designing components and systems for a product and all of the skills required to do so. I have learned computer modelling, project and self-management and how to go about dealing with many people on a daily basis.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme is highly fulfilling and enjoyable. I am often given different tasks that will teach me something new or peak my interest.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of the 6 year programme is already laid out from day one. The specifics of what i am working on changes as the business needs evolve but there is a definite structure.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I am encouraged frequently to complete tasks that will better me as an employee, a person or an apprentice. There are many programmes dedicated to both professional and personal development.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • They provide all of the support that I need if I have any issues or questions. There are frequent tutorials and help sessions should I need them.

  • The skills that I learn as part of my qualification are not directly related to my work but the knowledge can be built upon and expanded to fit it.

  • We have full access to all extra-curricular activities both at school and at work.

  • Yes

  • It's a brilliant way to accelerate your career and get a good qualification without any student debt.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to JLR?
  • JLR want to know that you as a person are right for the role and do not care as much about how may A*s you have. Be sincere in the application and interviews and you should do okay.
