  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a care worker at chestnut grove I assist everyday living for vunrable adults with dementia and degenerate illnesses that sometimes take their abilities away. So with assistance personal care needs are supported and encouragement is given to keep independence.i assist with administering medication, feeding and everyday tasks. I update care plans and care notes,deal with doctors and district nurses I also assist families of service users.i work in a team and support each other as well.

  • I have learnt a lot about the equality diversity and inclusion side of care I have developed my skills in care and compassion.

  • The fact I am learning every step of my programme.

  • It is very well organised and structured my assessor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is great at preparing myself ready to complete modules, practicals and my vocational exams.

  • I receive 100% support, lots of encouragement and praise.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • 100% [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] at paragon skills was always available to help either via email or when our 1:1 meetings were arranged at chestnut grove. His support was fantastic and at times I felt I wasn’t achieving he pushed me to go further.

  • Due to the knowledge and confidence it is now easier to put it into action practically and emotionally.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We as a team socialise on our days off. Meet up for coffee etc

  • They just give you the confidence support you need to achieve with no hesitations. They are a fabulous training team.
