As a whole, I work closely with my team to take care of the salaries and benefits that employees within the company receive. I am able to communicate with people within the business, as well as outside of the business on a regular basis. Daily tasks can include answering employee queries, gathering data, and providing salary ranges for various roles.
I really feel like I have improved a variety of skills, including my communication, both written & verbally, organisation and prioritisation. These are all very transferable skills and are key to have in any place of work. I have also developed my Excel skills and have become more open to asking questions to better my understanding.
I'm really enjoying my apprenticeship. The people I work with, as well as those across the company that I don't work as closely with, are so friendly and approachable. I have an extremely supportive team who are always happy to help. I am able to integrate with other apprentices across the company and the atmosphere in general is super fun.
The programme is very organised and has structure which is very helpful. I have regular visits from my tutor and I always know what work I need to be doing. I am able to allocate certain hours in the week to complete my assignments and I know that I am able to ask questions or for further help/support if needed.
I receive a lot of support from my employer which I am super grateful for. They are always happy to help, both with my role and qualification. I have the opportunity to go on training courses both internally and externally which are always really helpful. My colleagues are always welcoming and allow me to shadow them when it comes to learning about the different units within my apprenticeship. This then allows me to complete my assignments with more in depth, first hand knowledge.
My tutor has been really helpful and supportive during the course of my apprenticeship. During every monthly visit, we go through the learning material and I am able to ask questions to ensure I know what is expected of me for my assignment. I am then able to contact my tutor in between visits if I have any questions or concerns.
The qualification has helped me to perform better in my role as it has allowed me to learn more about the different parts of HR. It allows me to sit with different colleagues and learn more about what they do and think about how their role relates to mine. It has expanded my knowledge as I learn more about HR as a whole.
Yes, there are often different events being held, from sporting to networking. They have talks presented by different speakers, both within the company and external visitors, charity events and many more. There are multiple opportunities to get involved with depending on what you enjoy - there is something for everyone. There are also numerous opportunities to network and get to know people across the company.

It has been the best experience with so many supportive colleagues. I have learnt so many new things and have developed both professionally and personally. I have been given responsibilities that I am grateful for and am super happy to be in this position. There are so many amazing opportunities here on a regular basis which allow me to develop my career.
Research the company and apply for a role that suits you and the things you enjoy. Be confident in yourself and know the reasons for wanting to work here. It is a good idea to have questions ready to ask on the assessment day - this will show your interest!
