  • My role involves creating requirements and designing new features to implement onto the infotainment systems on new JLR cars.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my skills in coding languages such as python and c ++, in addition to this i have learnt how to develop robust functional and non functional requirements for hardware and software.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a lot as it incorporated a large proportion of time at university (first 3-4) months, whilst also allowing me to implement the learning within my job role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme structure is very good as it allows the students to get the university experience whilst working.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support received from the employer is vast, especially as fellow employees in the team have helped me on non work related university studies.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There are university weeks every 6th week combined with a day off each week as and when required to study, further Warwick Uni are available to offer help.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The qualification doesn't always help in your job role as roles can vary a lot. However JLR run training courses internally for employees to develop their skills, for example in how to draw a LAD.

  • Yes, there are socials and sports teams you can join

  • Yes

  • The company offers vast amounts of training and invests in it's employees.

  • Students should follow the JLR competencies which are available online.
