  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My apprenticeship involves 6-month placements in different areas of the company. My current role is in Technology Sponsorship as a 'Sponsor' which is essentially an internal client - I create the requirements for projects TfL is working on. Essentially, I tell project managers what I want done and they deliver it.

  • Project management, time management, communication and influence, presenting, operations management, and plethora of others.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The sheer diversity of placements and work carried out within individual placements makes my job very enjoyable and always full of new things to do. In some placements, however, some days can drag on as work dries up.

  • Fairly well-organised and structured with a clear path throughout the scheme.

  • Always support available for whatever issues/queries one might have.

  • Fair bit of support.

  • The theory learnt is always relevant to my roles.

  • A lot of different staff social groups to join and plenty of events/activities going on from staff football to bake sales to yoga.

  • Understand the company's purpose and vision and challenges TfL faces and just be willing to learn.
