I am currently an aircraft engineer apprentice, my job role includes the overhauling of aircraft engines dealing with the electrical aspects of the engine.

Yes, new skills include working with various tools and documentation. developed skills include teamwork and communiction.

Alot. I enjoy learning on the job while carrying out practical work while also earning a wage.

The structure of the programme is very well organised and structured.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

i receive a lot of support from GE Aviation including both financial support and regular check ups to ensure my learning is at its highest level.

The college tutor my education a lot ensuring i gain my highest qualifications possible.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualifications include a lot of practical experience and documentation experience which ensures i perform at my highest level with regards to work.

The company has various extra- curricular activities such as football and rugby teams and outdoor expeditions.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GE Aerospace?

You must be able to work within a team and have problem solving skills and just be yourself. If you enjoy hands on work the job role offers that.
