  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Learning & Development Support Advisor On a day to day I look after Online workshops, making sure we enough released compared the previous weeks bookings. I look after Pre work reminders and venue reminders. I make sure all trainers holidays are on the planner and any swops have been amended. I also answer any incoming L&D queries coming through via phone and email.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Whilst with my time with L&D I have completed a Level 3 in Customer Service and now completing my Level 3 L&D practitioner role.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am only just starting my apprenticeship however the first 4 weeks have been very exciting. I am looking forward to starting my first workshop and seeing what the rest of the course has install. I have been researching a lot of information and already picking up new things I can bring to my role.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • As I mentioned above I am only just starting and haven't really done much of the programme yet. However from what I have seen so far everything seems to be well in place, communication with Crosby has been perfect

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • a LOT! My line manager has been amazing every since I mentioned I wanted to complete an apprenticeship. She has been pushing myself and making sure everything I need is in place and i'm ready to go. She checks in regular with me to see if there is anything she can help with or if there is anything I need.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My direct contact at Crosby has told me whenever I need him I can call. If I have ever emailed him with questions he always gets back to me the same day

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • at the moment I haven't done enough of my qualification to be able to implement anything within my role. however as im moving forward I can see that the things I will learn will not only help myself but will help the team that I work in. It will be good to also see the impact I can make on the business.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, there is always things going on within the office. weather it be payday social, yoga classes, flower arrangement classes. there is always something going on that we are able to get involved in.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Mitchells & Butlers to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Mitchell & Butlers is a wonderful place to work. I have recently returned from Maternity leave and they have been amazing making my return to work as easy for myself. There is always something going on and the benefits that are available to you are second to none.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells & Butlers?
  • Be yourself, make sure you can make a change in the role you are applying for. Be social, enjoy and get involved in the office.
