  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work day to day to fix and provide telephone lines also fixing and providing fttc I have to communicate with my patch leads and my manage who's name I cant say but would think that it would help or may be not. im not really sure about that

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt lots of new skills as this is a new type of career for me. including internal wiring external wiring cabinet jumper ing tone set amp hand held testers and im am look forward to doing my under ground course I have got my broad band course booked

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed it very much it has been very tough at times but I feel i'm over the worst of it I still have a lot to learn and am looking forward to it. it is a awful lot to learn at the start but once you get

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It was a bit hard to understand who or what was there to help at the start and you had to learn to fend for yourself in the beginning I think a big part of this is the managers and patches were all being moved around from pillar to post

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There are normally people there to help and most of the engineers you meet along the way are happy to help but I found at times when the work stack was full you were a lot less supported but I understand why this might be as the more work

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • are NVQ has been brilliant we have a vey good teacher she is very helpful and we have been able to get days of to complete the work in hand. witch I have found in the past at old jobs has not been the case witch can make the work life balance

  • Very well it is good to reflect

  • yes but at the moment I have a young family so I don't have time
