Apprentice Business Analyst Review

My role involves working with two different siudes of the business. There is the customer facing aspect where I will go out to end users and find out what their problems are as well as the requirements for their solutions and then I will communicate with the other side of the business which is the digitalisation team to provide solutions to this problem.

I have learnt a lot of useful skills in my job role, however I would say that people skills has been at the forefront of my learning as this is an area where I have previously struggled. This has enabled me to understand what a customer really wants even if they are not articulating it in a good way.

I enjoy my programme a lot as it has given me skills that have made me better at my job which means that when I try to move forward in the company I will find it easier as i have experience of using industry standard techniques that I have learnt in my role

My programme has been very well structured so far for example I have always been able to fulfill my 20% off the job time in my workplace to comlete my college work. When it comes to the college courses these have been well organised and I have known what my deadlines are for the majority of the time.

I recieve a great level of support from my employer as they have a great facility where apprentices can go to and complete the coursework that is required without being distrcated by other aspects of the job. The learning and development colleagues at my work have been excellent in supporting me whenever I need it.

I have had the facility of a personal sills coach rpvoided to me by my training provider which has helped me a lot in my college work. The skills coach will arrange regular calls to track my progress and she will review my work before I send it in which has been beneficial to my learning.

I fell that my qualification has helped me greatly in my job role as previously this role hadn;t consisted of any formal traning therefore it has been very useful to learn what the iindustry standards are as this has given me targets where I can improve what we do at work.

Yes since there is a large apprentice communicty at Syngenta I have had the oppertunity to go on various social events with the apprentices. We also have the chance to participate in evetns organised by our community relations team who organise activities such as a walking club and bowling events.

Yes I would absolutely recommend Syngenta to a friend as they have been very good in supporting me throughout my apprenticeship and I am in a community of people who can help me if I am struggling. The work life balance is very good and I have learnt skills that have made me a better person.

I would recommend that anybody thinking of applying shouldn't lie in their application to try and impress the interviewer, as they will usually spot this and honesty is very important for a site like ours. I would say that being yourself is the best thing you can do to stand out when applying.
