  • Installing lines for customers and repairing faults within the network.

  • Yes, I have developed my problem solving skills and learnt how to fault on a telephone line.

  • The NVQ programme itself is fairly enjoyable, it can be stressful if the importance of certain parts of work are not emphasised.

  • the structure is pretty good, sometimes there are questions with answers that do not seem logical but that is life.

  • I have personally received a good amount of support but others I am aware of have not received as much as they require.

  • Our trainer is always available to answer questions and help when necessary

  • The qualification has not made any difference to the way I perform.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a good place to work with good people. Everyday is different, some days are tough others are a breeze. its an enjoyable well paid job.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT?
  • Get your head down and get your NVQ units completed as soon as you can. Absorb as much information when training and don't stress, it will all make sense eventually.
