  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work at the link between systems and people making sure that use the systems to their full capacity and support both sides with any issues. I am also involved in Projects Work reviewing constantly how we can improve processes.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Web Design and Java have been 2 of my units this year. They are definitely great skills to process. I also feel my confidence and understanding around Business in general has matured.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I love the programme the people that deliver it are great and enthusiastic you really feel like you are learning something and developing yourself.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think my programme is very well organised and structured. We have hour Lectures that are proceeded but an hour Lab that allows us to apply what we have learnt.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support I receive from my employer is constant. I am able to ask to use work time to catch up on my uni work and attend support days at uni if required.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Programming provide support days to help when we are approaching a deadline. Most of the Web Development theory is in class so we are able to ask for support then.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe it is giving me more confidence and conviction in my approaches at work and to me more critical. I am able to question things more and not take everything at face value.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I am not currently involved in anything at the moment but I always take part in charity related work activities as and when they occur.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Marshalls to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I believe this is a great opportunity to learn and develop yourself and your skill while working at the same time. Being able to apply what I learn at Uni to everyday work and life is invaluable.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Marshalls?
  • It’s a lot harder than you think it will be and it can take over your lives. However with time management you can easily make this part of your life and use it to the best of your advantage.
