  • service to customers for they day to day banking needs such s statements payments withdrawals transfer and enquiries booking appointments for mortgage advisor and banking consultants by asking customers questions about their needs and telling them the products available and offering channel of choice internet phone or appointment offer internet banking registration see power of attorney 3rd party and bereavement appointments

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • increased my communication skills boost my confidence improved my IT skills learnt how to use new systems learnt more information about the financial sector learnt about power of attorney and bereavement so can do moment of truth appointments learn about different changes within the lloyds banking group do quaterly mandatory training so keep up knowledge on mandatory things within the financial sector

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i think it opens up doors to other careers within lloyds banking group which you may want to progress through and the managers will help you progress to where you would like to go and sometime work is hard but its really rewarding when you can help customers so really rewarding so i do enjoy my job

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • its is really structured you have to go through all for themes but organisation needs a bit improvement as i have gone threw 3 coaches and im on my forth and sometime you have to foward your previous work again as your new coach wants to see it but the good side is the coaches are really helpful and do try to motivate you to expand your knowledge and progress

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • my employer is really good and supportive but it is still quite hard because banking is such a busy enviroment and when staff are on holiday we have staff shortgage so really hard to find time to do the apprenticeship and mandatory training each month required in the role so overrall i get an reasonable amount of support from my employer

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • training provider is quite supportive and if i need any help is always trying to support me with any help or issues i have or if just need any help will always guide me towards the correct answer and if i need help i do have the coaches number who i can call and ask for help

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that the training provider for the level 2 qualification hs helped me perform a bit better in my role as it has made me learn about the financial sector right from the basic so it is nice and easy to understand and their was a few things that i have learnt that i wasnt aware of and it helps me serve customer a bit better by providing them with a bit of extra information as it has boost my knowledge

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • we have a christmas event every where every collegue gets a paid 3 course meal as a gift from the bank and all collegues attend and last year we all bought panto tickets to watch the adult version of little red riding hood at cities varities and it was amazing definately enjoyed also ifyour looking to progress you can shadow in the role you want to apply for a day to see how it is

  • Yes

  • the staff are amazing the enviroment that you work will is really comfortable as long as you do what is in your job description you get rewarded for putting effort in valued cards and points to buy stuff their are opportunities to progress to different career paths and the pay does improve over time


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • The tips and advice i would give to others to apply to halifax would be confidence and ability to talk to a wide range of customer age groups face to face and over the phone is definately mandatory and making sure you provide excellent customer service and definately a decent amount of IT skills as you will use different it systems
