  • Constantly learning new skills and developing knowledge, also developing on skills such as communication from collaborative working, meetings, formal documents.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • Thoroughly enjoy the programme, it is such a good opportunity to gain a free degree and work around people with years of experience to help you learn as much as possible. There is so much support throughout the company and I'm part of a great team on my project.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very well organized. We attend university for one day a week, then have internal training sessions about every 6 weeks which we are notified about a year in advance.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Through HR, my line manager and my sector/team there is constant support and always someone to answer any questions or provide a helping hand.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Our lecturers are available at certain times or after lectures for us to ask any questions we have and we can always email at any time.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It provides the base knowledge that I can use in my day-to-day work and understand why things are as they are. Working on site is great but it would mean I only learn one way of building a frame for example, but uni teaches me all options.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of work socials and various networking events and volunteering opportunities, but no sports teams.

  • Yes

  • There is so much opportunity within the company and there is so much support that if there's something you're unhappy with, it will be escalated until it's resolved to ensure you are most content in your role.
