Apprentice nursing associate, to bridge the gap between health care assistant and registered nurse. My day involves shadowing the nurse and learning different patient related tasks like injections wound care etc
Yes I’ve developed my existing skills but also learnt how to do new skills
I enjoy being on this course, and I also enjoy the patient interactions, and doing a worthwhile job
We attend university every Wednesday, which is structured academically, and we also get support from the practice development nurses from our trust
My employers are very supportive, and encouraging
The training provider, are very supportive but sometimes are short staffed and are unable to check our books to make sure we are on the right track
I think that when I gain my qualification in 2021 it will help me immensely within my role as I will have gained much more knowledge for my job
There probably is but I don’t get time as I need to do assignments in my spare time for the modules for the course
Yes
Gstt are fair, and great to work for. Staff always seem caring and committed
Be committed to patient care.
