Yes I have. I have learnt many skills which link directly to my job such as using new software's and how to present myself in a professional environment. My university as taught me skills such as working within a team and how to write a report to clearly build an argument as to why certain materials should be used, helping me in my work.
I enjoy the programme because it has meant I ca start work straight away which was an option I didn't think I'd have after school. The people are supportive and we receive training so I am up to date with competencies I should know. I is a very friendly and social environment.
Our programme is well structured they keep in contact with our uni and make sure we are happy with what happens there. All of our training and site visits have been set out for the full year so we know what we will be learning throughout the year. We are given a buddy to help us.
I receive a lot of support from many levels that my employer puts in place. I have a buddy who is also in the apprentice scheme a few years above. I also have a line manager who I can talk to about an issues. HR are also there if we need them.
I receive a fair amount of support. They keep in contact with the uni to endure that we are happy with the lectures and content. If we are not happy then they get in contact with them. We also have a portfolio which lines up with the RICS chartership so that when it comes to gaining that we are prepared.
My internal training provided is more related to the job than my uni work, such as technical training sessions. This technical training carries on throughout the 5 years. Uni gives me transferable skills such as group work, arguing my case and better understanding the roles of different people within the business.
Yes
I would recommend them because it is a friendly environment and we are well supported by the employer.
I believe that when Mace are hiring they look towards more the personality of the person rather than the grades. So my advice would be to be friendly and yourself as that is more what they look for.
