  • general maintenance on production line, carrying out repairs, implementing improvements and energy savings

  • learnt how to carry out engineering task i.e welding, electrical, PLC, turning/Milling

  • I enjoyed my programme I thought it was challenging and pushed myself

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • it was fairly well structured. I felt at the start of the apprenticeship it was a little unstructured however after a couple of months it settled down and a training plan was introduced

  • I received decent support. my employer provided all text books for college and electrical test i.e 17th edition

  • ok support during college hours, however out of college hours contact was limited

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel my qualification is perfect for my role as it covers pretty much all the tasks which I am required to carry out

  • we have a shift 5 a side tournament, we also have team days out occasionally

  • Yes

  • it is a good job with a decent salary and the benefits scheme is very good


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Britvic?
  • make sure you know what the role at Britvic involves as it may not be to your liking when you finish the apprenticehip
