  • I enjoy what I am studying

  • Not very well from the business and the apprenticeship side, but good from the degree side.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Very little to none, the majority of my 20% off the job training has to be done in my own time. When exam period comes around I get very little time to do any revision.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of help from the degree side of the course. Not so much for the apprenticeship, no one from the apprenticeship team has come to check with me or go through things and I have only just had one file set up.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Currently I don't use what I have learnt in my job role, I am trying to get my employer to let me start doing engineering work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not really, we have lunchtime seminars for CPD, but don't really have any social events.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Keltbray to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • Not a lot of help is given and a lot is expected of you. The 20% off the job training I have to do in my own time and not during work hours.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Keltbray?
  • Make sure that everything is clear before starting and make sure that the employers know what they are signing up to as at the moment I don't think they know the rules even though I've tried explaining it to them.
