  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, i have learnt many skills whilst completing my qualification. I developed skills around time managements and managing my time more efficiently and utilising my diary to book in tasks and calls. I also developed many customer service skills, I developed this from the course itself and also training sessions and learning on the job. I have learnt what types of customers there are and how to address these, also around dealing with issues and complaints which has come in very handy within my role. I have developed a lot of the last 2 and a half years through both my training through the company and also my qualification.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my course quite a bit, there were times in the course I struggled with such as trainer changes, however I had the support in place to help me through this time. I feel that i have developed a lot throughout the course and that i can now put these into practice in my day to day work. I feel the course has met my expectations and I now embrace the skills, knowledges and behaviours I have learnt!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure was good, i felt that the course flowed very nicely. The induction went well in the beginning of my course as this was a great opportunity to dive deeper into the course information and get started and set up. The training through out went okay, even though I did have a few changes i felt that all the trainer that supported me were very good at providing the training and support and were very nice and easy going! The work itself of course has certainly helped me and helped my development. The work on the system worked very well as it flowed nicely and didn't have to wait for work to be marked until the end of the full unit.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • the support i received from my employer was great! i got lots of support when it came to the 20% off the job training, of which was just introduced when i started my qualification. My manager was supportive of allocating this as i had a few hours each Friday to complete this and this time was also flexible if i missed this due to meetings etc.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received a lot of support from the trainers throughout the course. if i ever needed anything or had any questions i could call or email them and get a response easily within 24 hours. The tutor competed regular check up calls and reviews to ensure i am happy with the work. I would have a call at the end of each unit to receive feedback and go through the next unit. The trainers had a great attitude towards me and i always felt i could go to them with anything!

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My role certainly helps me day to day. I have learnt many skills whilst on my course, i have learnt how to deal with customers correctly and efficiently, also learnt how to develop my organisational skills such as managing my diary. This has helped as i call and schedule calls with customers and now i log the calls in my diary to not forget. I feel i put my course into practice each day and now feel very confident in my role since completing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I get involved with a few activities within the company as we sometimes have workshops. I have actually attended one of these recently which was internal to the company, this was great as it went through some of the information of the changes to the company and has helped in my role.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Babington to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel that Babington were very good throughout my course, i previously had a bad experience with another provider which made me a little sceptical to try an apprenticeship again. However i feel that this course has been a good experience and has changed my outlook on apprenticeships and qualifications. I would certainly complete another through Babington as i felt the support was good and the course has actually helped me in my career development.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babington?
  • I would advise that they have a clear idea of what qualification they would like to go into and also the career path they would like to take. I advise that others ensure the company they are with will fully support the course and the off the job training. I advise that learners are not afraid to contact Babington or the tutors for support as there is always someone here to help!
