  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have worked for the company for 18 months, I am 6 months into my apprenticeship. I work on a variety of things in the office. From RIBA stage one to five, Using all the office software.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained confidence, skills in software like AutoCAD and Revit. But have also developed my knowledge on software I could already use, like the Adobe suite

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my time at both work and university. Mixing with people older than me to mentor me and people my own age. Savills have great knowledge of the program and have many events to get Savills apprentices to meet and mix.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I cannot fault the organisation and structure of the Savills apprenticeship program, the support has been amazing. The structure of university is also very good however day to day the organisation at London Southbank Uni can be disorganized.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive lots of support from my work, I have a line manager, general mentor and careers mentor. I am always asked how I am getting with both Uni work and office work.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We both set smart and achievable target/ goals for me to complete and achieve, on a monthly and yearly basis.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I am taught a design and idea philosophy, which helps me understand the client needs and desires, it also helps me understand the issues a client may have and how we resolve it.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Savills organize a number of events on a monthly basis for all the Savills apprentices to meet and socialize.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Savills have had years of experience with the apprenticeship scheme, winning many awards like The Times 'Graduate Employer of Choice'


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
  • Everyone's experiences are different, however I would suggest the apprentice to expose themselves to as much experience as possible. To push themselves out of their comfort zone. I would also say its great to ask questions about everything and anything, there is always someone to help and support.
