  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a theatrical marketing coordinator, I support my line manager with all of the campaigns for Warner Bros. films in the UK. This ranges from preparing presentation to writing up territory summaries for the campaign. Supporting my manager allows me to learn from her and the wider team on how to position a campaign and what to expect if I one day choose to take up a role of this kind.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to be more concise with my writing and developed my knowledge to enhance the campaign using marketing tools and techniques. These qualities in conjunction with my apprenticeship allows me to develop and learn what it means to be a manager. I think it is important to learn as much as you possibly can because you don't know when these skills will be needed at a later date.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have always enjoyed my time at Warner Bros. working in this role amongst previous experiences. I don't always feel I am at work! The people are really supportive and friendly and offer you the chance to be the best that you can while being here. Advice is to take every opportunity that comes to you!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It's great! The course itself is structured in a way that allows me to get all of my work tasks completed in the four days I am in and study one day per week to achieve my qualification. While at the college I find my peers to be very personable and collaborative, again brilliant for career networking and development.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • MY employer has been very supported with my program, especially when it came to doing a degree apprenticeship. I am the first in the company to do so and my company have done everything they could to get me on a course and learning more. If there is something you really want to do, majority of the time the company will support you with it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Having completed an apprenticeship already with Warner Bros. with a training provider that was very supportive. I have found the same experience with a degree apprenticeship. The training provider Pearson have supported me with anything I need to feel comfortable and getting my qualification done. If I need more time or help around a particular subject area or task, help is always on hand for me.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • While my qualification does not directly link to my everyday role, I feel like the course will enable me to rise up the ladder in the future and develop an important skillset to manage project and teams going forward. It is important to have goals at Warner Bros. as this will help you establish what skills you need to prioritise over others.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are plenty of social clubs to join at Warner Bros. as it is a very social company! There is the Wb 6 a side football team, pub quizzes, special screenings, premieres and more! These society's are available to all employees of the company from Interns and apprentices to full time working employees.

  • 9b. Why?
  • Warner Bros, has given me life long experiences that I will never forget. I believe anyone coming into this company will find something they love about working in it.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WarnerMedia?
  • It is important to recognise this is a company with a high application rate. Make sure you are organised, clear minded and ready for assessment centre's and interviews which can be challenging for some. Overall enjoy the process as it all helps towards development. My advice would be to choose roles you think you could really make a difference in.
