  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • It is dependent on which team you work in. Some teams are more varied than others. In my current role within the valuation team my day to day usually involves writing valuation reports and attending inspections. The reports involve digging into the finer details of the property and finding comparable evidence.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the programme. It has been a very good opportunity that has provided me with very good experience. i have made good friends and enjoy the social elements to the scheme. I have preferred some teams over others and find that certain work can be repetitive. Overall an enjoyable experience.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Having had a very high turnover in HR staff the structure has fluctuated in its effectiveness over my 4 and a half years at the company. As it stands (with a new member of HR staff) the scheme seems to have implemented a structure that works. however, it should remain consistent.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • we have an adequate amount of support from Kingston University. should we need assistance we can approach our lecturer or course head who is always ready to provide feedback, re cover a difficult subject or discuss progression and grades. On occasion the structure of the university course has been inconsistent.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I do not feel that the university qualification has assisted me a great deal at work. Most of my learning has been on the job which is directly related to my work. The university course often does not relate to my role or is covering an area that i have a basic understanding of already.
