  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role is a Service Support Adviser and i contact learners at the start, middle and end of their programme to ensure they are happy on the course. I will speak to learners and employers to gain their satisfaction on the course so far and can escalate concerns/ issues should any occur.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Since starting with Babington i have learnt alot of new skills, knowledge and behaviours. I have previously done BA L2 and progressed onto this course. I feel that i have become much better within my role and feel i now have the knowledge to support others when they require advise or support.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the programme that i am currently studying and find that it is really helping me in my job role. I have developed and helped others to develop through my apprenticeship. I have learnt new things that i through i already new and it has helped me to become more confident with the tasks that are being set.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of my programme has change while on the course but this didnt affect my learning as was given the support and guidance from my trainer. I feel that the new delivery model has helped me and other learners who are doing this course as it gives more detail and structure to the course.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My line manager has been very supportive of me on my qualification and we have weekly catch-ups about my progression on my programme and the support i require. My line manager has really helped me toward my project and has gone out of her way to make sure i get enough time to do the OTJ including shadowing other teams/departments.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My trainer was always able to support me with any questions that i had. She was in regular contact with me and i knew that i could email/call her at any point and she would get back to me within a matter of hours. I had/have calls with the Service Support team about my progression and i have been given multiple opportunities to provide feedback

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have been able to develop new skills and knowledge while undertaking the course. I have been able to put the new skills into practice and my manager has mentioned how she thinks this course is having a positive impact. It has made me more confident within my role as i have been pushed out of my comfort zone at certain points of the course.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The company that i work for are very supportive and encourage team working activities. We have previously gone to YMCA and cooked a meal for others that need a warm meal. We have had team meals and even been out to mini golf (payed for by Babington). As a business i think Babington are great!

  • 9a. Would you recommend Babington to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I think that Babington are a great provided to work for. I started here as an apprentice and developed into a full time job. With the support of Babington and my line manager i have gained lots of knowledge around the sector and been able to support others including other apprentices. I feel that Babington really opened a door for me and has made me the person i am today


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Babington?
  • I would say that if you apply with Babington they will support you and give you the tools/knowledge to be able to do your day to day role. They will encourage active learning and give you training should you require it and encourage team work/ communication. Babington feels like a family as everyone is very supportive and always helps each other.
