  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I help families in need of when their loved ones have passed away. I keep into contact with them and help them arrange the perfect funeral for their loved ones. I also do the administration side and invoicing and safe to serve around our funeral home.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt everything so far within my job role for helping families. Some of the apprenticeship workshops have been useful.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I only enjoy the actual workshops relevant to my job but I do not enjoy the 4 hour round trip I have to complete to get to them!

    4/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It isn't very good as I have been in the programme for 8 months and I am still so unsure of really, what I supposed to do. I write my reflective logs and loads of things just because I don't know what I am meant to write them on.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I feel I would get the support if I asked, but I feel if I do ask I still won't get what I wanted. I need lots of alone time with a coach to get what I need out of it.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I feel like we don't get much as people are very hard to get hold of, sometimes you want to ask 1 question and you simply can't get an answer, therefore your stuck.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel it does a little but I learn more when I am actually in my job and doing it. The workshops are too full on for me and I can't retain it all.

    4/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of community activities to get involved in which I do.

  • 9b. Why?

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?
  • I would tell others to apply for a job with Co-op.
