  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I usually spend my day repairing plant machinery that has broken down or needs swapped no for a new piece of kit that we have been given. I also help out with the production side if need be.

  • I have learnt lots of new skills during my apprenticeship week that are very useful for engineering and performing in my job role. I have also furthered some of the skills that I started with.

  • I am currently enjoying my apprenticeship very much as it is challenging so I never get bored.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My apprenticeship is very well organised with regular meetings where we can discuss how we are getting on and if we are having any issues.

  • I receive lots of support from my employer especially when it comes to training programs that choose to put us on to improve our skill sets and knowledge.

  • I receive lots of work from my training provider when it comes to gaining my qualifications.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like the qualification I am doing is deffinetly helping me perform better in my job as it is furthering my skills and understanding of what I am doing.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of extra-curricular activities to get involved in at work that are completely free of charge such as social events, sports teams and there is even an on-site gym which is free of charge.

  • Yes

  • The people who work here are very friendly and good people and they want to help you get through your apprenticeship so will go out of their way to help you.

  • Make sure you are confident and show the desire to learn because if you do people will help you
