  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My daily role varies depend on the needs of the team. I could be scheduling interviews for colleges or reviewing CVs for my own roles that I am managing as well as organising and facilitating assessment centres.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my communication skills with communicating with different stakeholders everyday. I have also done internal training that helped me identify my strength but also my weaknesses and how I can further improve myself both in and out of work.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The team I am in is very supportive and is happy to help whenever I need it but they also give me the opportunity to further my skills by giving me new challenges. The companies culture is a positive environment and I have enjoyed my apprenticeship so far.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well organised with having inductions in my first week where relevant. I have regular meetings with my assessor who ensures my progression in my apprenticeship. I get support for all members of the TA team weather they are team leads or daily colleges.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Whenever I need support their is no one in the team I couldn't turn to. Everyone in the team are happy to help. There are multiple people in the office who offer any support needed weather that is work related or mental health related.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have regular meetings with my training provider so I know what I have to do to complete my qualification

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think it helps to a certain degree however my provider struggles to link it to in house recruitment and apply it to my role as I the qualification is agency based recruitment.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • The team have one or two team meeting a year where we all get together to catch up and network with each other. There is a NEXT UK group within Siemens which allows all entry level talent to come together and connect with other grads,interns or apprentices.

  • They offer flexible working are you, they allow you to work in what style suits you and the training and support they offer allows you to develop both professionally and personally

  • Make your CV stand out and be pro active in researching about Siemens and what they do to show your interest
