  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Arranging funerals, makeup on deceased.

    8/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Have improved customer service skills. Nothing that is useful and job specific. Mostly common sense

    8/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy meeting the other arrangers the most. We can compare our training which is helpful.

    6/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The content is very childish. The work books are pointless. Was initially poorly organised as we didnt have a set learning venue. This has since been improved.

    6/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Not much. Managers don't book you on the practical training that you need to do. They don't attend meetings with the apprenticeship coach.

    3/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] has been brilliant. Very approachable and understanding. Lots of industry knowledge.

    10/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It doesn't other than the customer service element. The content isn't job specific enough.

    5/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No. The region is poorly managed. There are not events or team building exercises.

    2/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend Co-op to a friend?
  • No

  • 9b. Why?
  • Low wage for what the job entails. Poor training from co-op. Lack of management. You have to rely on yourself a lot. Career progression is good but roles are given to people that can talk the talk but not walk the walk.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Co-op?
  • Whistle blow when you are ignored by management
