  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Thanks to this Learning and Development Practitioner Level 3 apprenticeship, I have improved my training skills. I learnt a lot about the adult learning style adapting the training material for different audiences with clearer training goals aligned with identified training gaps. I have introduced in the team new training evaluation tools. For the delivery, I have learnt new technology tools and a broad range of activities to engage the learners. I am also more conscious of the diversity in the audience and adapt the content of the training accordingly. Overall, my colleagues find my training skills are much more professional now.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoyed the program a lot. It brings me space to reflect on my daily tasks and the tools to excel in my job. Having allocated time to learn is fantastic and I always come up with new ideas or opinions on my projects, usually very well received by the team. When my apprenticeship will be finished, I will definitely continue keeping learning time in my agenda since I realise how beneficial it is.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is in fact well structured. The OneFile platform where I submit my learning journal entries and time-off the job shows the different components of the curriculum and I can see the progression. The regular visit of my tutor and her availability via email are great support. The different tasks are currently well spread with clear deadline to be confident in the completion in due time.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer is very supportive with my apprenticeship. The Learning and Development department is encouraging, always keen to get feedbacks and reactive when it is not going well. We also have several social events between apprentices in the company. Workload pressure is sometimes a challenge to keep time-off the job but my manager is always very confident how I manage my week and happy for me to keep my learning time.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider is currently satisfying. My tutor is very well organised and available on request. She follows well the path for me to finish in due time the different assessments and exams. I would expect a bit more support in term of training material since I had to start from scratch at the beginning. The first months were quite hard with learning a new platform to record the progress. In fact, the indications how to use the platform and what tasks to consider as time-off-the-job were unclear. My previous tutor was not so good and this explains my initial disappointment.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel completely confident. I learnt a lot and I can see every day the benefit of it. It helped me to be much more creative as well. With my provider's tutor, we review some of the training process in my trainer role and work a lot to improve them. That for sure help me to perform better.
