To complete administrative duties for the Aster Property Asset Management team such as scanning, photocopying and using Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint. This ensured the accurate storage, organisation and retrieval of customer information such as addresses and names into a database.
I improved my commication skills by liaiasing with many customers both internal and external. I also was able to work shadow many departments including procurement, finance, HR and facilities. I attended training for speedwriting, report writing, presentation skills and time management.
I did enjoy my time at Aster. I intended to go to university after, however it served me well as a work placement in-between college and uni. I has a fun corporate culture and a good team ethic.
I did feel appreciated by my manager and the team, although I thought the organisation had a very long hierachy. New ideas are valued which is excellent.
It was organised well and it gave me freedom to learn as much as possible.
The tutor's were readily available and very supportive.
Aster covered any travel and it was suitable given my level of responsiblity.
