Solicitor Apprentice Review

My day-to-day role involves assisting with transactions and taking my own matters forward i.e. drafting legal documents and negotiation with the solicitor on the other side of the transaction.

Throughout my apprenticeship so far I have built up my confidence, particularly in public speaking. I have developed my communication skills especially when speaking on the phone. I have also developed professionalism from an early age.

I enjoy the different types of work I receive on a day-to-day basis and the studying alongside helps to get a better grip of the law from the theoretical side, whilst working on the practical side of the law.

The programme is constantly developing to cater for our needs as apprentices both in the work place and university. The programme allows us to practice and study different areas of the law.

There is constant support on hand from several (if not all) people in the work place should we need it.

There are programmes in place in the university to support us should we need it.

The modules that we undertake at university quite often coincide with the work that we do and therefore helps us to understand the more technical side of the area of law we are practicing at that time.

Yes, there are always either sporting activities, diversity and charity events or general social events to get involved in should we choose to do so.
